Justice for Tamir Rice

I hope this letter finds you well. 

My name is [Your Name Here] and I’m a resident of [City, State here]. I’m writing to demand that both officers involved in the death of Tamir Rice are held accountable for their racist and unjust actions. 

While it was reassuring to hear that Timothy Loehmann was let go from the police department, it was ultimately shocking to hear that his release had nothing to do with Tamir’s death, of which he was responsible for. 

It has been almost six years since Tamir was shot and killed at 12-years-old. Please take action to bring justice for Tamir, his family and friends and to set the principle that police officers are not above the law and will be charged if their actions are hateful, reckless and unlawful. We must create a state and nation that is safe for all men and women, regardless of their skin color. 

Thank you for working to keep our nation, this world, and our communities safe spaces free of hate and violence.
